MP Police Academy in MoU with Dr Ambedkar University, Mhow

Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal and Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University of Social Science, Mhow signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work jointly to upgrade and polish educational activities. On this occasion, DGP R K Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary for Higher Education and in charge Vice Chancellor of University, B R Naidu, Special DGP K N Tiwari, Director, Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal, Sushovan Banerjee, ADG S W Naqbi and Anuradha Shankar were also present.The MoU was signed between Director, Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal, Sushovan Banerjee and Registrar of University H S Tripathi.

Madhya Pradesh Police Academy is the first academy in country to take help of such kind from any university. After this MoU, MP Police Academy’s trainee DSPs will do post graduate degree course in police administration from the aforesaid university. This MoU is certainly going to upgrade the training quality of MP Police Academy. DSPs selected by Madhya Pradesh Lok Seva Ayog will acquire police administration’s post graduate degree in four semesters from university.They will do the post graduate course from university during their two-year training period. University’s faculty and specialists will come to academy to impart training to students.

According to MoU, police academy will ask the trainees to prepare research papers on sensibility towards sex discrimination, women and backward class. Both institutes will amass these research papers, which would be used in future course to chalk out the policy and for training and scheme purpose. Officials can also do degree and diploma course by remaining in job. After successful completion of research, M Phil and PhD degrees would be given.
