Raipurians observe No vehicle day with enthusiasm

Strings of activities held as the ‘No Vehicle Day’ coincided with the birthday of Mayor Pramod Dubey on Sunday.
Thousands of cyclists took on the street in front of Telibandha pond, Marine Drive, as the monthly No Vehicle Day event was held. Mayor Pramod Dubey showed up on his bicycle along with Congress Leader Vikas Upadhyay, Congress workers and large numbers of citizens, all peddling their bicycles.


Strongest man of the country Manoj Chopra also showed up on the occasion and demonstrated his incredible strength to the audiences by breaking baseball bat with his bare hands.
A group of martial artists performed thrilling stunts and fighting techniques. Their performance left the people awestruck. Also, singers from the national reality show Voice of India captured the hearts of people with their melodious presentation.


Once these events were over, Mayor led the procession of cyclists to the road from Telibandha. Mayor also appealed people to fight pollution by using bicycles on regular basis. Meanwhile, the guests and citizens also took oath that they will use bicycles to their offices and works for at least one day in a month.
