Cold increases in State capital, other parts of State

Maximum temperatures have fallen down by a notch at many places in Madhya Pradesh. Minimum temperatures are at normal level at several places of state. The lowest minimum temperature of 7 degree Celsius was registered in Umaria and Mandla respectively.


Bhopal’s day temperature settled at 26.3 degree Celsius, one degree below normal mark. Henceforth, people felt cold throughout the day. Even in evening hours, cold intensity got increased. Minimum temperature of city was recorded at 12.3 degree Celsius and it was at normal level.


Weather department said that weather conditions remained dry across the state. Minimum temperatures were below normal level in districts of Shahdol division. However, minimum temperatures were above normal level in districts of Indore, Ujjain and Chambal divisions. Jabalpur’s minimum temperature dipped to settle at 10.2 degree Celsius, 1 degree below normal.


The forecast of weather department says that weather will be largely dry in maximum parts of state. Rains are expected in some parts in districts of Indore and Ujjain divisions. There would be no change in weather conditions for next two days. The forecast for Bhopal says that winds will blow at the speed of 14 km per hour. Minimum temperature will be around 12 degree Celsius.


As the cold has increased, people are now in habit of putting on warm clothes before leaving home. With cold gaining strength with each passing day, people are falling sick to seasonal diseases.
