Kherha cops crack two theft cases

Kherha police cracked two theft incidents reported to have taken place at Kherha and Karkati. Two accused of theft were arrested by the police who also recovered the stolen booty. Active stance of the police helped to nab the two accused within six hours after the theft was reported.


According to information from SHO KP Tripathi, on Sunday around 8 am, Pohooljhariya Bai Kaul, resident of Kherha lodged complaint of miscreants having targeted her home stealing a sum of Rs 10,000 that was the pension amount she had kept in the box. Her elder sister-in-law told the victim that her son who stayed away had visited the house.


The victim was shocked to discover her pension money stolen from home and reached the police station and lodged complaint. In her complaint she told police about her son who has distanced himself from her made unlawful entry in the home.


Cops registered case under relevant section of ICP and started investigating the suspect as informed by the victim. Acting promptly, cops rounded up her son Jayram Kaul and he was taken to police station for interrogation. In course of interrogation he confessed of have entered his mother’s home during her absence. Cops recovered the stolen money of Rs 10,000 from his possession.


While in another theft incident, cops arrested a mobile thief from Karkati. The accused identified as Banni alias Vinay Patel managed to steal the mobile set of Ravindra Dubeym who has a cloth shop in the market. The accused stepped in the shop to purchase clothes and managed to steal the mobile set of the owner.


After the victim lodged complaint, police acted accordingly and on the basis of identification of the suspect, nabbed him from the colony. During interrogation he confessed of have stolen the mobile set worth Rs 8,5000 of the appellant Ravindra Dubey.


Both the accused have been booked under relevant sections of IPC and sent behind bars. The success for police having solved two theft incident is being widely appreciated by people from the region.
