Cong corporators submit memo to Additional Collector

A DELEGATION of Congress Corporators, on Monday submitted a memorandum to Additional Collector, Chhote Singh and demanded high-level probe into alleged irregularities done in the name of Right to Education Act by as many as seven schools of the city.

Congress Corporator Tahir Ali informed that they have submitted a memorandum to the District Administration and demanded probe into huge irregularities and illegalities done by the schools. He said the Congress Corporators also met Collector, Mahesh Chandra Choudhay and appealed him of high-level probe. The Collector has assured them of inquiry by a Additional Collector level officer. Congress Corporators have alleged huge irregularities by the schools. They said Education Department is conducting inquiry into the matter. Corporators said the inquiry by Education Department smelt rat as senior officials of the Department might have been involved in the illegalities and may influence the inquiry.

Congress Corporators said huge irregularities have allegedly been found in inquiry being done against the seven schools. The schools by doing illegalities caused huge loss to the Government. They have taken undue advantage of Right to Education Act through fake name of students. Most of the admissions given under the Act are fake. Concerned students are not studying in schools. Corporators also demanded the District Administration to probe the basis on which the schools have been given affiliation as the schools lack play ground and other needed infrastructure. Therefore, the Corporators have demanded to annul the affiliation of the schools. Those present were Ajam Ali, Gulam Hussain, Tej Kumar Bhagat, Dinesh Singrol, Abid Mansoori, Mahfooj Ansari, Suhaiv Khan.
