A young entrepreneur from West Bengal has become a victim of malfeasance of the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) officials.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Upasna Vishwas stated that she was born in West Bengal and was living in California before coming to Raipur to set up a business on the inspirational appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She invested crores in opening a new Hotel and Restaurant named A-1 at GE Road. But, now the RMC officials are harassing her on the pretext of inspections. They storm into Hotel and seize the stuff from kitchen or counter without even showing their identity cards. They don’t even give the list of stuff seized from the restaurant’s kitchen. They confiscated food materials on at least four occasions, but never once they gave any lab test report to her.

They conducted so many inspections for hygiene and imposed hefty fines. The accusation of unhygienic conditions is totally baseless as anyone can see any time of the day, claimed Upasna Vishwas.

The officers even called the food stale without even going through the lab test. Also, they razed a shed built in front of the hotel without even giving notice of any sort. She asserted that the no part of the Hotel building is illegal and she holds all the documents such as Trade License and Food License require for running the business, claimed Upasna Vishwas.

She built the business from the ground up and invested heavily, but the abuse of power RMC officials has left her no choice but to speak up.

Pradeep Kumar Vishwas, the father of Upasna, shielded his daughter and stated that he never allows her to go outside laws or take any illegal means and he can even raise the matter with Prime Minister if push comes to shove.
