TRAFFIC police on Wednesday convened the joint meeting of auto-dealers, cab drivers and fuel station owners for ensuring effective implementation of traffic regulation. K B Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) chaired the specially convened meeting held at Police Control Room in Bhilai. Satish Thakur, Dy SP (Traffic) also addressed the meeting.


According to information on Wednesday morning, ASP (Traffic), K B Singh chaired the meeting of auto-dealers, cab drivers and fuel station owners for ensuring effective implementation of traffic regulations. In the meeting he stressed for effectively curbing the increasing practice of using cryptic registration number plates in violation of traffic norms. He appealed the auto-dealers and vehicle showroom owners along with the cab drivers for contributing their might for the special campaign in coordination with the traffic police.


In the meeting, ASP (Traffic), Sing stressed on uniformity of digits, letters and the sizes as per set standard in traffic regulations for the number plates of vehicles. As part of measures he appealed them for displaying the traffic regulation in the same context at their respective establishments and for ensuring distribution of pamphlets. He also appealed the showroom owners for delivery of vehicles with registration numbers plates in accordance of traffic norms. The meeting was attended by the large number of auto-dealers, cab drivers and fuel stations owner.
