MP Krupal Tumane assures help to MSMEs

MSME-Development Institute (MSME-DI), Nagpur under the Public Procurement Policy organised two days National Vendor Development Programme-cum-Industrial Exhibition at P-26, MIA House, Hingna, Nagpur on February 27 and February 28 in association with MIA, BMA and DICCI.
The objective of the programme was to provide an opportunity to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase their capabilities to various wings of Government organisations and other CPSUs that outsource to micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It will also enable large scale enterprises to identify suitable vendors in the MSME sector. Around 80 MSEs participated in the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by Krupal Tumane, Member of Parliament, Ramtek while P M Parlewar, Director of MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur, presided over the function. Capt C M Randhir, President of MIDC Industries Association (MIA), Nitin Lonkar, President of Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA), Nishchay Shelke, President of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), Vidarbha Chapter and B Vijay Kumar, Deputy Director of MSME-DI, Nagpur were present on the dais. Various CPSUs like WCL, MOIL, MECL, NPCL, Central Railways, Mazgaon Dock Ltd, etc. are displaying spares required by them in the exhibition and during technical sessions their representatives made a presentation on the requirement of their products/services so that MSME units can register as supplier to them. They also spoke about their vendor registration procedure.
In his address, Kurpal Tumane appreciated Director, MSME-DI Nagpur for taking efforts in organising such type of programme which will benefit the MSEs in Vidarbha region. He said that such type of programme and exhibition is helpful in connecting CPSUs with MSMEs by providing them a common platform to interact with each other. He also appealed to all the participating entrepreneurs to give stress on R&D as it helps in manufacturing quality products.
He appreciated the efforts of MSME, MIA, BMA, DICCI for their joint efforts in organising such a big event in Vidarbha. He assured all possible help to MSMEs.
P M Parlewar welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais. He also thanked MIA for providing their premises for the exhibition. He explained in brief about the objective of the programme and also about various schemes of MSME.
He appealed to all the participating MSMEs to take maximum benefit of the programme as it is a platform to PSUs and MSMEs to come together and benefit each other and get marketing support.
He appealed to MSMEs to take benefit of the opportunity and have one to one discussion with CPSUs. Capt C M Randhir appreciated MSME for sustained efforts to organise such type of programme. Nitin Lonkar said, “Such type of programmes are always beneficial for the development of industries in Vidarbha. There is still lack of awareness amongst the people.” The programme will definiterly help CPSUs and MSMEs,” he added.
Nishchay Shelke also appreciated MSME-DI for organising programme and exhibition on a grand scale. “DICCI is always ready to associate with MSME. The members of DICCI will definitely create awareness amongst SC/ST entrepreneurs to take benefit of 4 per cent reservation under Public Procurement Policy, 2012,” he added.
Sunil Zode, Chairman of Indian Chamber of Commerce for Affirmative Action, New Delhi was also present on the occasion.B.Vijay Kumar co-ordinator of the programme proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked all the CPSUs and participating MSMEs, all industries associations for their overwhelming response. Souvenir was also released during the occasion.
