Govt Nagarjuna PG College of Science celebrates National Science Day

Government Nagarjuna Post Graduate College of Science, Raipur, is celebrating National Science Day with zeal.
Principal, Dr K N Bapat and Convener Dr Rajeeva Guhey informed that the programme began with Science Rangoli, Science Poster and Speech competition on the theme
‘Science and Technology for Specially abled persons’ on February 25. To be mentioned, February 28 is celebrated as the National Science Day. Post Graduate students from different department of Science participated in the rangoli.

Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) Vice-Chancellor Dr S K Pandey, was the Chief guest of the inaugural function while Meenal Chaubey, President, Janbhagidari Samiti of the college was special guest. Dr Pandey inaugurated Science Exhibition.

A total 18 Science Models were presented in the exhibition by MSc students of various subjects, like- Fluoride removal technique, Solar Mobile charger, Fish Farming, Mushroom Cultivation, Vacuum cleaner, Targeting Cancer cell by Nano Technology, Birds of Chhattisgarh, Hybridoma Technology etc. The conveners were Dr Rupinder Diwan, (Science Exhibition) Dr Renu Maheshwari (Rangoli and poster competition) Dr Renu Saxena (Elocution competition).

The Judgment of scientific models was done by senior Professors headed by Dr R. Pimpalgaonkar.
The winners of Science Model were Raju Yadav (Geology) and Vikram Singh Prahalad (Physics) jointly stood first on Fluoride removal technique and Solar Mobile Charger respectively. Renuka Sinha (Botany) and Arti Mishra (Biotechnology) stood Second on Sewage Treatment Plant and Targeting cancer cell respectively.

Zenab Hamid Ali, (Zoology) Monika (Chemistry) and Shubhangi (Botany) were stood third in Hybridoma Technique, and Vacuum cleaner .For Poster Ku Dristi Verma (First) Hemant Dhruw (Second) and Ku Damyanti (third). Winners of Rangoli competition were Archana Shivankar, (First) Rakhi Roy (Second) and Ku Gayatri Sidar (Third). Speech competition won by Aishwary Roy, (First), Ku Shruti Dewangan and Ku Shruti Vyas (jointly second), Arti Mishra
stood third.
