G S College holds health awareness camp for women

HEALTH awareness programme for adolescent girl students was organised at G S College, on Saturday. This programme was organised by Women Empowerment Committee. The programme was organised with an aim to inform adolescent girls students about mental and physical problems in that age. The topic for the programme was ‘Development in Adolescent’.
Chief guest on the occasion was Dr Shirish Jamdar, while, Managing Secretary of Shiksha Mandal, Madhya Pradesh Branch, Jabalpur, Dr Shubdha Pandey presided over the function. Principal of College, Dr Sunil Pahwa was also present.
At the outset, the programme was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp and garlanded the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.

Addressing the programme, Dr Shirish Jamdar informed in very easy way about the physical changes in the adolescent age. She also informed to girl students about pregnancy and about problems also. She said that every girl should intake healthy and nutrition food and should do lots of physical activities for solving the problems that would arise during the pregnancy. She also informed girl students that today’s women can do every thing alike men in the society. But, men cannot do the things what women can do, pregnancy is natural thing and only women can do this. So that, every woman should feel proud for being woman. Every woman should make her mental level strong. They should also use internet for getting positive information.

Dr Shubdha Pandey said that there is no other option available for physical fitness, every one should follow this and make life as healthy life and it also protect health problems. During the programme, Dr Shirish Jamdar also solved the queries of students related to health issues.

This programme was organised under guidance of Women Empowerment Committee, In-Charge Dr Arati Patel.
The programme was convened by Dr Aparna Pandey and vote of thanks proposed by Dr Dimple Bhalla. Large numbers of students, professors were present in the programme.
