Sisodia appointed as Manager of Indian Jr Davis Cup team

Adding another feather to his cap, Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association (CSTA) President Vikram Singh Sisodia has been appointed as the Manager of Indian Junior Davis Cup team currently playing the qualifying final round of Asia Oceania Junior Davis Cup at Delhi. All India Tennis Association (AITA) under the aegis of International Tennis Federation (ITF) is hosting the tournament. Sisodia was also the guest of honour at the inaugural function of the final qualifying round in which India defeated New Zealand, on Tuesday. Also present in the function were Manpreet Kaur from ITF and Colonel Chouhan from AITA.
As many as 13 teams are participating in the in the group consisting New Zealand, Japan and Honk Kong. India have defeated Japan in the first match followed by New Zealand in the second match by 2-1. However, they lost to Hong-Kong in the third match. India’s number one U-13 player Shashank and Sahil Sharma won their respective Singles events.
Meanwhile, CSTA general secretary Gurucharan Singh Hora and other office bearers congratulated Sisodia for his selection as the Manager of Junior team.
