Vidhan Sabha police, CCB crack blind murder mystery

Vidhan Sabha police along with Central Crime Branch (CCB) cracked the blind murder mystery on Wednesday.
As per information received from Vidhan Sabha police, the incident took place on March 13 and police received information on March 14 that, body of an unknown woman was seen near Barbanda village pond and body was hidden under heap of dry straws. Police team rushed the spot with FSL team and seized the body. The deceased was later identified as Dayavati Markam (28), wife of Late Asharam resident of Chandagaon under Farasgaon police station limits. During investigation police received video footage of the deceased from CCTV installed under Mission Secure City at Ambika Rice Mill. Police found an important clue as in the footage. Police found that after the deceased passed the areas, the accused who, was later identified as Birbal Sharma (26) was seen following her with a tetra-pack containing water in his hand. Police found the tetra-pack near the body which became the major clue. Police found that after the incident he left the job in the factory he was working earlier and changed the factory. When he was detained by police he accepted his crime and informed police that once he was scolded by her and had argument on some petty issue, and he was looking for a chance to take revenge for his insult. On the day he found the victim sitting alone, he slapped her after which the deceased bit his hand and threatened to report the matter with mill owner. Irked by the threatening the accused strangulated her throat using her scarf. He tried to hide the body in dry straws lying in the nearby area.
Police arrested the Birbal Sharma under Section 302,201 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
