MP boxers get 28 medals in National C’ship

Madhya Pradesh State Marshal Arts Boxing Academy players shined in Chess Boxing Federation Cup National Championship held from March 10 to 13 in Mumbai (Maharashtra). Academy players clinched 28 medals including 16 gold, 8 silver and four bronze medals. Interestingly, Madhya Pradesh was also declared runner up in the competition. In this competition, Maharashtra was crowned as winner.


Sports minister Yashodhararaje Scindia expressed happiness on the achievement of state players in the event played in Mumbai. In sub junior boy’s category, Anand Yadav, Ruchir Shrivas, Himanshu Shrivas and Saurav Yadav clinched gold medals. Likewise, Vijay Bohat, Kishan Bahadur, Rajesh and Shailendra bagged gold medal each in senior boy’s category. Jeeshan Khan, Amit Mishra won silver medals. In girl’s junior category, Anjali Sharma, Anmol Mahawar, Nansi Pyasi and Jigyasa Rajput won gold medal each. In girls senior category, Ayushi, Nisha Yadav, Khusbhu and Upasana Pandey won gold medal each.
