Thieves nabbed during vehicle checking drive, stolen booty seized

IN the joint efforts of Piplani and Ayodhya police have nabbed two thieves during vehicle checking drive at Khedapati Mandir and have recovered stolen valuables from their possession, informed Superintendent of Police Bhopal (South) Siddhartha Bahuguna while talking to the media persons at police control room on Wednesday.
The miscreants were nabbed during vehicle checking drive by Piplani and Ayodhya Nagar police. The two bike-borne miscreants on a Pulsar bike (MP04-NW-5586) were stopped and documents regarding the motorbike were asked the to provide the documents and later confessed that the motorbike was stolen and committed two thefts.
The motorbike was stolen from Kotwali area while gold chains were stolen from Pipalni and Ayodhya Nagar areas.
The miscreants were identified as Hasan Ali (27), son of Rahat Ali and Abbas Ali alias Salman (19), son of Pingu Ali, both are residents of Sanjay Nagar railway station near Irani Dera. Superintendent of Police, Bahuguna said that, Hasan Ali was burdened with huge debt and debtors used to demand return of money and to settle his borrowed money he started robbery and started chain snatching. The accomplice of Hasan, Abbas was facing the same situation and to earn fast money he joined Hasan in robberies.
The two aimed to collect around 40 -50 gms of gold and escaped Dharawad in Karnataka. After stealing bike from Kotwali on February 28, the accused targetted old age woman as they would offer very less resistance and were easy targets for chain snatching. Hasan Ali is a habitual criminal and has been booked for robberies in the past and after being caught in Chennai for chain snatching he spent eight months in jail and recently came out on bail. He lured Abbas of money and offered to accomplice in the crimes and later they started robberies.
