BMC razes encroachment; Rs 1.22 lakh recovered

Bhopal Municipal Corporation(BMC) squad continuing action against littering and encroachments reached in different areas including Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Sindhi Market, Lakherapura, Nadeem Road, Kotra Sultanabad, Jawahar Chowk etc and imposed spot fine on Thursday.
BMC squad imposing spot fine recovered Rs 1, 22, 350 from the shopkeepers who were found guilty of littering on roads and encroachment in different areas including Depot Square, Jawahar Chowk, Kotra Sultanabad, Nadeem Road Sindhi Market, Bairagarh etc.
BMC officials during action against encroachers and those found guilty of littering warned not to encroach roads again. The shopkeepers were also asked to keep dustbin near their shops otherwise strict action will be taken. The shopkeepers were advised to renew their trade license. Zone-wise nodal officers have been appointed for supervision of cleanliness in all the zones. These nodal officers following the directives of BMC Commissioner, are taking action against the encroachers and those responsible for littering.
In charge health officer Rakesh Sharma under the direction of property tax officer Archana Sharma took action against littering by the shopkeepers in Sindhi Market, Lakherapura, Nadeem Road etc busy areas and recovered spot fine Rs 89, 850. Other cleanliness in charge officers were also present during action.
Besides, anti-encroachment and anti-littering drive led by city engineer Rajiv Goswami was launched in Sant Hirdaram Nagar Bairagarh. Cleanliness in charge Ravi Auditya imposed spot fine Rs 13000 on the shopkeepers. A team of BMC led by deputy commissioner Harshit Tiwari took action in the areas including Kotra Sultanabad, Jawahar Chowk and Depot Square and recovered Rs 19, 500 imposing spot fine on the shopkeepers.
