Capital investment in micro, small & medium industries touches all time high

With an aim to increase the income of people living in villages and small towns of State, the Madhya Pradesh Government is emphasising on spreading network of micro, small and medium industries. Efforts of State Government are bearing fruits as capital investment has increased in micro, small and medium industries in substantial manner.

Madhya Pradesh Economic Survey report 2016-17 says that till December 2016, as many as 60384, micro, small and medium scale industries were established in State. In comparison to 48,179 micro, small and medium scale industries established in 2015-16, 25.33 per cent more such industries were established in state till December 2016 of 2016-17.

‘The Hitavada’ is in possession of report of Madhya Pradesh Economic Survey done by Economic and Statistical Directorate of Madhya Pradesh. According to this report, only 19,894 micro, small and medium industries were established in state in the year 2012-13 and this graph had declined in 2013-14 as during this period, only 18660 Micro, Small and Middle industries were established.

In the year 2014-15, 19835 micro, middle and medium industries were established and in 2015-16, 48,179 micro, small and medium industries were established in state. By December 2016, at least 60,384 micro, small and medium industries were established in state and this is the highest number of micro, small and medium industries established in state so far.

Interestingly, in the situation of December 2016 of year 2016-17, whopping sum of Rs 6,926 crore has been invested in micro, small and medium industries. It is 34 per cent more than the capital investment done in year 2015-16. In 2015-16, capital investment of Rs 5172 crore was done in micro, small and medium industries. The situation of capital investment in micro, small and medium industries remained grim in 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15.

During these years, investment of Rs 672 crore, Rs 613 crore, Rs 750 crore came as capital investment in micro, small and medium industries. As more and more micro, small and medium industries are being established in State every year hence the number of job created by them is also increasing. In the situation of December 2016 of year 2016-17, 2,66,709 jobs were created in micro, small and medium industries. This is 37 per cent more than the jobs created in 2015-16.
