‘Dhanush Gun’ to get induction number in current financial year

“Indigenously developed 155 mm 45 calibre ‘Dhanush Gun’ successfully accomplished rigorous trials and reported to get induction number in the current financial year. Along with successful production of Dhanush, the factory is working on war-footing for producing two prototypes of 155 mm 53 calibre mounted gun. Another gun is being produced with indigenous research and development of GCF,” informed by Shailesh Kumar Singh, General Manager, Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur.
GM, S K Singh was talking to the media on the sidelines of defence guns exhibition at GCF, on Saturday. He added that along with successfully meeting the production targets, factory is also committed to serving the society and environment. The factory will soon establish solar power plant of 20 MW in collaboration with Vehicle Factory Jabalpur. 10 – 10 MW solar power plants will be established at GCF and VFJ for ensuring their contribution in environment protection and promotion of green energy. Besides this, Gun Carriage Factory has also tied up with Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University for development of solid waste management at GCF Estate and production of organic manure. The project is underway with full pace and expected to be completed within next 45 days.
