Medalists of 23rd All India Forest Sports Meet feted

Employees of Forest Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, who won medal in 23rd All India Forest Sports Meet, were honoured by the Department in a function held at Pandri on Saturday.


Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda was the chief guest at the programme. Gold medalists were honoured with Rs 25,000, silver medalists with Rs 15,000 and bronze winners with Rs 10,000. The winners received prize from the chief guest. Chhattisgarh won 97 medals including 43 gold, 29 silver and 25 bronze in the 23rd All India Forest Sports Meet held in Hyderabad.


Speaking on the occasion, Forest Minister Gagda said that sport is necessary for all-round development. He also congratulated the winners.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Head of Forest Forces) R K Tamta, Additional Chief Conservator of Forest Kaushlendra Singh, Additional Chief Conservator of Forest A K Dwivedi, Additional Chief Conservator of Forest K C Kisku, Chief Conservator of Forest Raipur forest circle Arun Pandey, Rakesh Chaturvedi and other officers attended the programme.
