State Government is paying attention on its rural health centres to improve its conditions soon. Special budget provision has been made in coming financial year to fulfill financial requirements of the rural health centres as per their needs to make it not only as the health centres for general treatment rather to make them as wellness centres also. However, the Block Medical Officers (BMOs) will be asked to take example of Ichhavar’s CHC that has recently been made as VIP health centres with AC wards, better health services and time punctuality of the doctors. In the new scheme, the BMOs role will be pivotal to make CHC, Primary health centre and sub health centre as health centre cum wellness centre.
According to information, the Health Department has recently chalked out a plan to make its health centres as health centres cum wellness centres. After treatment, the experts will provide tips of keeping health better, what life style should be to be free of general diseases that can be removed of changing just life style.
Senior health officer said all the district health authorities as Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) have been asked to make a proposal of what they need to make rural health centres from Community Health Centre (CHC) to Sub Health Centre (SHC) as the Health-cum-Wellness Centres. Some more staff of doctors, paramedical and even health counselors will soon be provided to all rural health centres gradually in phases. There will be no shortage of funds. Budget will be sanctioned as per needs.
