City witnesses thundershowers

OWING to low pressure developed over eastern Madhya Pradesh, climatic conditions of the city and adjoining areas have been affected. Thundershowers drenched the city on Sunday evening. Cold waves are blowing with moderate speed and adding chillness in weather.
Changed climatic conditions have plummeted day temperature. Besides, wind blowing with a speed of 7 kmph is adding chilliness in the atmosphere. People were seen wearing woollens to protect themselves from cold. Despite rain and cold, people enjoyed the weather on Sunday. Minimum temperature on Sunday was 31.8 degree Celsius, three degrees less than normal temperature, while late in the afternoon it was 19.5 degree Celsius. Humidity in morning was 59 per cent, while in the evening it was 67 per cent.
The city received 1.3 mm rainfall. Weather experts informed that climatic conditions have changed in the division due to low pressure system developed over eastern Madhya Pradesh. He said present conditions might persist for one or more days and rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in the division. He said when sky will be clear after departure of clouds the city will again witness cold weather conditions.
