Shahpura cops crack blind murder case

Shahpura police added one more feather in their cap by resolving a murder mystery within a short time. Shahpura SHO Dr Anil Patel is known for relentlessly pursuing a case. The victim’s friend has been arrested for the murder. In this case, on March 11, Durgesh Paraste arrived at Shahpura police station and informed the police that on March 10. He was coming to his village Surajpura along with his friend Rajendra Parsste, from Ahmedabad to celebrate Holi festival.


After alighting from the bus, they had drinks behind Sanskar Public School at Shahpura. Two unidentified persons came and started thrashing them. The injured, Rajendra Parste was admitted to Shahpura Community Health Centre as his condition was critical. He was referred to Medical College, Jabalpur where he died during treatment. Police have registered case under section 302, 394 of IPC against two unidentified persons and started the investigation.


During investigation, police firstly started inquiry on the information given by the complainant. then his statement were contradictory and hence police zeroed on the complainant, Durgesh Paraste and strictly interrogated him. He confessed to the crime. He informed police that they had drinks together and then he thought of taking the cash Rs 12,000 kept in pocket of Rajendra Paraste. He attempted to kill his friend by attacking him with stone on head. he took the money from pocket of his friend and then he framed a false story of some unidentified person attacking them and injuring Rajendra. Police have recovered from his possession watch and stone used in the murder.


SP Simala Prasad in a press conference disclosed details of this murder mystery. Police have arrested accused Durgesh and presented him before court. Court ordered to sent him to jail.
The SP has announced to reward SHO Dr Anil Patel and his team for unraveling this murder mystery.
