Sindhi ghazals resound at Ravindra Bhawan

Popular ghazals in Sindhi language resounded in Ravindra Bhawan , on Sunday, in a Suhini Sindhi programme organised by Sindhi Sahitya Academy. In the field of Sindhi ghazals, name of Ghanshyam Waswani is well-known.
Ghanshyam Waswani commenced his singing programme with a prayer song from Ankush film as Itni Shakti Hame Dena Data. Later, he dedicated his first ghazal to internationally acclaimed singer Jagjit Singh as Tumko dekha To Ye Khayal Aaya. He sang ghazals in both Hindi and Sindhi effortlessly. He composed a song of Master Chandra as Vah Vah re Ghada.
Finding mood of the audience, the singer selected some songs in Sindhi as Dil Tuhinji Muhinji Hik Aa and Muhabbat machandi Vatre and others. Later, Meenakshi Wasvani, in her sweet voice, delighted audience by singing in Sindhi as Pere Paundi Say and assisted Ghanshyam in every song. They sang more than 20 short songs. Most were in Sindhi. Programme lasted more than two hours and clapping by audience on every ghazal continued.
Musicians as Arif Latif Khan, Jatin Wasvani, Manish Madankar, Shashikant Sharma and Waseem Khan gave good accompaniment to the singers.
