Total 9 maoists killed post Sukma incident: CM

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while praising the efforts of security forces towards eliminating Left Wing Extremism from the State, said, the morale of security forces is very high and they are eliminating Naxals in their areas of stronghold.


Talking to mediapersons before proceeding for Lucknow to attend the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister said, after the incident in Sukma wherein 12 CRPF troopers were brutally massacred by Naxals, the security forces are in retaliation mode and in the two incidents which had taken place in last few days, two and seven Maoists were killed respectively by the security forces. He also paid tributes to the police personnel martyred during the recent encounter.


The Chief Minister added that police is aggressively retaliating against the Maoists after the Sukma incident. He said the incident was a set back for security forces but they have geared themselves and are moving ahead with motivation.
During interaction with the media persons the Chief Minister indicated that very soon the post of Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) will be filled permanently. He also indicated that SPs of some districts are likely to be changed.


Extending his best wishes to Yogi Adityanath as the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said the BJP had contested the election with the motto of inclusive development and achieved historic victory.
