HC bench to hear defamation case against K K Mishra on March 8

The division bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has listed the matter relating to defamation suit filed by the State against Congress Spokesperson K K Mishra for March 8, 2017 as a last chance to K K Mishra to argue the matter, while directing that the trial court is free to proceed in the matter. Trial will go on for defamation against K K Mishra, Congress Spokesperson and he is given last opportunity to argue the matter against charge before the division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
On Thursday, the Criminal Revision filed by K K Mishra, Congress Spokesperson was listed before the division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court comprising of Acting Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice Anjuli Palo. The petitioner had made certain remarks before the press that the Chief Minister and his wife had gotten certain persons from Gondia selected in constable recruitment exam conducted by PEB.
Against this, the State has filed a criminal case for defamation. The Trial Court had framed the charges on February 4, 2017. Against this order, the instant Criminal Revision has been filed by K K Mishra. The counsel for the petitioner prayed for time to argue the matter. Advocate General Ravish Agrawal and Additional Advocate General Purushaindra Kaurav appeared for the State.
