Municipal Corpn to construct Sulabh Souchalaya in Bombay Market

IN an appreciation to the concerned showed by the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI), Municipal Corporation will be constructing a Sulabh Souchalaya in Bombay Market. Bhoomipujan was performed by the CCCI Chairman Puranlal Agrawal at the construction site near the chamber headquarter on March 2.
Mayor Pramod Dubey graced the occasion as Chief guest while CCCI President Amar Parwani, Treasurer Arvins Jain, Vice-President Vikram Singhdeo and S C Khetrapal, Secretary Parmanand Agrawal and other prominent members were present.
Speaking on the occasion, CCCI President Amar Parwani said that chamber conducted a survey and identified 17 places that should have Sulabh Souchalaya which will be a significant boost to the Raipur city which is transforming itself into a smart city.
The survey was mainly based on the large number of businessmen, employees, officials and general public coming to the Raipur city and facing problem on availability of toilet facilities. Thus, CCCI demanded for construction of public Sulabh Souchalaya on prominent streets in the capital city through a letter submitted to Mayor Pramod Dubey and RMC Commissioner Rajat Bansal, Parwani added. He further praised the efforts of the State Secretary of Yuva Chamber Nilesh Mundhra and his team resulting in the special public related initiative.
Mayor Pramod Dubey said that adopting the suggestions by CCCI, Raipur Municipal Corporation constructed a 16-seeter modern public utility toilet in the Pandri bus stand in Raipur. In this series, the second Sulabh Souchalaya will be coming-up in Bombay Market.
This modern toilet will give respite from toilet related problem to the male, female and specially abled persons, Mayor opined.
