PUC certificate must for vehicle owners after 15th

District Administration has asked the vehicle owners, including owners of two-wheelers to get their PUC (pollution under control) certificate from the pollution checking centres by March 15 to avoid any type of inconvenience after the
given date. According to District Collector O P Chaudhary, a total of 59 centres have been set up in the district for the checking of pollution-level of vehicles of which 28 centres have started issuing PUC certificates.
As per decision, Rs 40 has been fixed for PUC certificate of
two-wheelers, Rs 60 for three-wheelers, Rs 80 for four-wheelers, Rs 100 for Medium Vehicle and Rs 150 will be charged for issuing PUC certificate to heavy vehicles.
Vehicle owners will be penalised if fail to produce PUC certificate of their respective vehicles after the given date (March 15), said the district collector. Fine starting from Rs 200 to Rs 2000 per vehicle (according to the categories of the vehicles) will be charged.
