Sindhi poetesses express social concern in meet

A NATIONAL level Sindhi poetess meet was organised by Sindhi Sahitya Academy at Ravindra Bhawan, on Thursday in which poetess from different parts of the country participated and expressed social concern in their poems. There was everything in poems by women poets that impressed audience. Poetry meet was in Sindhi language. The evening was full of poems and lyrics. Among the poetess there were some lyricists also.


Neelu Megh, Raipur recited her lyrics as ‘Na San Ando Kuchh, Na Khani Venda Si, Akeli Aya Si, Akeli Venda Si.’
Dr Kamla Goklani, Ajmer recited a poem on life’s every pleasing moment, her poem was as ‘Ki Zindagi Aahe Bhali Deeh Char, Seeh Unhara E Kujh Meeh, Khushiyan E Dukh Sa Bhariyal Deeh.’


Senior poetess Indra Punawala, Pune in her poem said ‘Duniyasa Muhijo Pyar Akhre Bayan Konhe, Dharti Misal Sundar Biyo Ko Jahan Konhe.’ Local poetess Draupdi Chandnani, read a poem as ‘Akash Neero To Laye To Laye, Sansar Suhino Aahe, To Laye To Laye, Har Shai Suhina Aahe To Laye To Laye’.


Rashmi Ramani, Indore , local Aneeta Lala, Veen Shrandi, Vandana, Kengrani, Chandra Sayta, Draupadi Chandnani, Meena Shahdadpuri and Geeta Hoklani also recited their selected poems. Charu Mita ranade, Mumbai conducted proceedings of poetess meet.
