Spouses of staffers feted during plant visit under ‘Aap Bhi Janiye’

The spouses of employees from SMS-1 were facilitated with an escorted plant visit by Personnel Department, Steel Zone-2, under “Aap Bhi Janiye” programme. Before proceeding on plant visit, the housewives assembled at HRDC Center for attending the introductory session, where GM (SMS-1) Kamlendu Das was present as the chief guest.
While addressing on this occasion, Kamlendu Das specifically stressed on the point that there certainly is the significant share of contribution by the spouses of employees in ensuring the progress towards productivity and excellence of Bhilai Steel Plant. He also elaborated extensively upon the progress made by BSP in its moderniszation and expansion projects.
He specifically exhorted the visiting housewives to abide by safety regulation while visiting different production units under BSP. At the outset of this introductory function, AGM (Personnel—Steel Zone-1) Arvinda Ratan, after welcoming the visitors apprised them about the propriety of conducting such plant visit for the spouses of employees.
DGM (Electrical) B.R.Verma and DGM (Mechanical) Arvind Kumar also addressed in this session. Departmental Safety Officer, Ramakant Gupta specifically imparted instructions to assembled housewives regarding to the precautionary safety measures to be initiated during their plant visit.
During their plant visit, the spouses of employees from SMS-1 were escorted by the personnel from Personnel Department to Rail Mill, Blast Furnace, Blast Furnace, Coke Ovens, SMS-2, Plate Mill etc while apprising them about the production process of each unit. They were also facilitated with the visit to the place of work of their husbands. The visitors specifically enjoyed their visit to eye-pleasing Rose Garden.
Soon after, at the auditorium of Welfare Building, Sr. Staff Assistant, Rakesh Pandy gave extensive presentation on production process of different units under BSP.
A quiz contest for visiting housewives was also conducted on this occasion, in which the several visitors participated with enthusiasm.
The visiting housewives also expressed gratitude towards BSP management for facilitating them with such highly informative, escorted plant visit—- the experience, which would be cherished by them for lifetime. Dy. Manager, (Personnel- Steel Zone-1) R.K.Gupta conducted the proceedings and also proposed the vote of thanks while concluding the plant visit of employees’ spouses.
