‘AIRSWEE’ to be inaugurated today

TIE Women, Nagpur is organising the ‘All India Road Show on Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship’ (AIRSWEE) scheduled from March 6 to March 8. The workshop will be inaugurated on March 6, from 10 am at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth. This was announced by Rita Aggarwal, Charter Member of TiE Nagpur while talking at a press conference on Sunday.
She said that the workshop was the newest initiative to unleash value creation amongst aspiring women entrepreneurs in Tier II and Tier III cities in India. Under AIRSWEE, TiE global will conduct five workshops in five cities in India, which includes Coimbatore, Warangal, Jaipur, Nagpur and Durgapur. The programme will enrol 25 women entrepreneurs in each city, selected through a rigorous screening process. These 125 mentees will then be introduced to India and US based mentors, who will guide the participants on various aspects of entrepreneruship. After these workshops, five participants from each city will receive intensive mentoring for an additional six months to develop some of their ideas into sustainable businesses.
Shashikant Choudhary, President of TiE Nagpur said that the mentors will visit the DIC office. Also they will visit the Vice Chancellor and exchange ideas between US universities and Indian universities .They will also visit Raisoni College and interact with 800 girl students. Furthermore, they will visit LAD College and meet alumni women entrepreneurs. Akhila Rajeshwar, Executive Director TiE, Chennai, Zankhana Kaur, Founding Director of Ybiz, Kristine Quine, teaches at University of Denver, Daniel’s College of Business, Gurvinder Singh, CEO and Founder at LeanLex, Swati Thakur, TiE Member, Jay Chopde, Vice-President, TiE Nagpur and Chenali Bisen.
