Police, DJ owners, band groups meet to implement HC directives

any social, cultural and religious programme from 6 am to 10 pm
AN IMPORTANT meeting of police and owners of DJ, sound box and band groups was organised to implement directives of Madhya Pradesh High Court at Police Control Room on Sunday. Superintendent of Police Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar chaired the meeting, while Additional SP (North) Suraj Kumar Verma, Additional SP Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, Additional SP (East), Guru Prasad Parashar, Additional SP (Crime), Devendra Pratap Singh Rajput, Additional SP, Sanjeev Uikay, gazetted officers, SHOs and owners of DJ, sound boxes and band groups attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, SP Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar informed about directives of Madhya Pradesh High Court for completely restricting operation of DJ and permission of only two sound boxes during any social, cultural and religious programmes from 6 am to 10 pm. He informed that the sound box owners have been ordered not to increase volume from more than 50 decibel otherwise stern action will be taken against violators.
During the meeting, DJ, sound box and band group owners were given declaration forms for following the orders of Madhya Pradesh High Court.
To be taken in a box: Members of Hotel and Restaurant Welfare Association submitted a memorandum to Additional Superintendent of Police on Sunday. Through the memorandum, they expressed their consent for following the court’s order. Hotel owners made an appeal to provide Home Guard personnel or warded for desired security arrangements during marriage and other programmes regularly organised at hotels and restaurants from 6 pm to 12 midnight. They also assured to pay the cost from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 to the deployed personnel and following traffic norms.
