Samanata-2 Mini Marathon race held for physically challenged

A mini Marathon race Samanata-2 for physically challenged was organised under the aegis of Udweep Welfare Society from TT Nagar Stadium on Sunday at 6am. Aim of organising the race was to aware people for adopting positive attitude towards the disabled. Race was organised in two groups.


A large number of men, women, children and youths along with their family members and friends gathered at TT Nagar Stadium from where the mini marathon race was started and reached at the same place via Link Road Number-1, Board Office Square. Everyone participated in the Samanata-2 Mini Marathon race with the pledge to eradicate the disparity towards specially abled persons in the society.
Social activist Aruneshwar Singh Dev, Udweep Welfare Society’s Poonam Shroti and Sabdhani Coaching’s Anand Sabdhani flagged off the race and also inspired the participants to adopt positive attitude towards specially abled persons in the society. Children belonging to Shubham Viklang Kendra, Parvarish School, Asha Niketan Special School, Umang Special School, Apna Ghar and Sai Viklang Kendra participated in the race. Physically challenged children also presented cultural programmes.


Later, chief guest MoS Deepak Joshi and MP Alok Sanjar distributed prizes to the participants and winners. Samanata-2 Mini Marathon race was also organised in which a large number of people had participated. Tiny tots including Adil and specially abled Zaid enthralled the participants with their melodious songs. Children also presented colourful dance at the ground.
