Workshop on ‘Safety Awareness’, held at Disposal Stores

The workshop on ‘Safety Awareness’ was conducted at Disposal Stores of BSP, following the instructions of ED (Material Management)Hriday Mohan, where GM (Safety & Fire Brigade Services) T Pandiaraja, GM (Material Management) P K Kulkarni, and DGM I/c(Stores) M K Agrawal were specifically present along with number of departmental employees and executives along with several contract workers.


It needs a specific mention that Disposal Store earns annually a considerable amount as revenue. From different production units under BSP, the large quantities of secondary disposal products like blooms, billets, plates, TMT, Slabs Wire Coils etc are brought to Disposal Stores through wagons. Afterward, these products are unloaded by using mobile cranes and fowler trailers and afterwards lots are made within the areas of 1 km diameter. When these lots are sold, these products are again loaded in customers’ vehicles by using mobile cranes and fowlers. This workshop was specifically conducted for ensuring the safety of these operations. The highly informative presentation in the same context was also given in the workshop.


The representatives from Safety Engineering Department were imparted specific instructions and tips for ensuring the safe operations during loading and unloading, while earmarking the duties and responsibilities of each worker, present at site.
DGM (Disposal Stores) S K Rane conducted the proceedings of workshop while D P Ahirwar
proposed the vote of thanks while concluding this significant event.
