Youth Congress activists protest against LPG price hike

To vent ire against frequent increase in price of domestic LPG cylinder, a large number of Youth Congress activists, on Sunday burnt the effigy of Union Government at Vehicle crossing. The YC men shouted slogans against the government demanded it to roll back recent hike in the prices of gas cylinders.


Atul Dongre and others Youth Congress said in last six months the Union government has made an increment of Rs 250 in the price of domestic LPG cylinder. They said constant rise in price of domestic gas is putting huge burden on poor and middle class people.


They said the Union Government had promised for good days, but it is pushing people in great trouble by increasing price of essential commodities like LPG cylinder.
YC men said LPG cylinders have become need of every family. People cannot operate kitchen without domestic gas. Despite of that the government is continuously increasing the price of LPG for the last six months. They said the price rise is putting unbearable burden in the pockets of poor people.


Youth Congress members alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party government is making poor people more poorer. It is not helping out poor people in uplifting their living standard. They demanded the government to roll back recent hike in the price of LPG domestic gas cylinders or else Youth Congress would intensify protest.


Amongst those participated in the protest were Saurabh Yadav, Sumit Yadav, Ravindra Kushwaha, Mohit Yadav, Dipanshu Koshti, Aniket Dubey, Sachin Tiwari, Dilip Kol and others.
