Mega block at Gurra rly station disrupts trains’ time-table

The blocktaken by Mechanical Department at Gurra station near Itarsi caused inconvenience to hundreds of passengers as many trains stopped at and before Gurra station on Saturday after two mega blocks were taken at the railway station. The mega block started at 8.45 am and ended around 11 am causing trouble for passengers. Reportedly Habibganj-Jabalpur Intercity Express was detained fro two hours along with train number 17610 Purna-Patna, 19057 Udhna-Varanasi, 12149 Pune Patna, 12322 CSTM-Howrah and other trains.
According to information, the mega block was taken by Mechanical Department at Gurra station causing serious resentment among large number of passengers who were stranded for around two hours. Many trains were stopped at the outer signal of the station while three were accommodated on loop and main line of the station.
Many trains were held up at Itarsi station for accomplishment of mechanical work in the section. Passengers of Intercity Express bound for Jabalpur were the worst affected after halting at the station for around two hours. They had a tough time and lost their cool creating uproar at the railway platform. After passengers raised slogans against the railway administration, it resulted in heated talk between the passengers and station staff who expressed inability to allow the train to move in view of block taken by the Mechanical Department.
Later after the block was lifted, the Intercity Express was the first to depart from Gurra station bringing much needed relief for passengers.
