Sixth Bhopal Vigyan Mela concludes with fervour

On the concluding day of Sixth Bhopal Vigyan Mela, ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Antriksh Kendra’s Director Dr. P Kunhikrishnan addressed saying that India has created history by sending its 104 satellites in space. This has not only been done for creating record but it is a commercial initiative of ISRO along with Bharatiya Antariksh Abhiyan.
He said that in March 2018 Chandrayan-2 will be launched. Various other dignitaries and experts addressed the four-day science fair held at BHEL Dussehra Maidan. Students and science lovers who visited the fair were told about satellite launch vehicle GSLV, PSLV and ASLV.
In the ceremony, Dr. P Kunhikrishnan was felicitated with Vigyan Pratibha Samman Award 2017. On this occasion, Energy Minister Paras Jain, Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi , Vigyan Bharati’s General Secretary Dr A Jai Kumar and Madhya Pradesh Vigyan Evam Proudyogiki Parishad’s Director General CK Patil and MANIT Director Narendra Chaudhary gave their special presence.
On the last day, all the science lovers and students took selfies with the models displayed in the exhibition. They gathered in large number and keenly observe the models. Major attraction of the exhibition was various main departments and other private organizations’ science models displayed tremendously. Among the organisations, ISRO, Brahmos, NTPC, NPCIL, DAE, Centre of Ground Water, CIAE, IISS, MPPCB, BHEL, Vardhaman, NHDC and others majorly contributed in the fair. Over 110 stalls were installed in the fair which attracted large number of visitors.
