STUDENTS of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering, Wanadongri invented a ‘Foot Step Power Generation System With Solar Panel’ as a project recently. As per this device, people can generate electricity by walking and utilising it in their daily life. This device generate 11.3 watt electricity after walking 160 steps. To charge a mobile phone it requires only 2 Watt electricity. It can be utilised in malls, railway platform, temples etc. More steps generate more electricity hence it can be installed at public places. This device is capable to reduce the electricity shortage and very much useful in public places. Saurav Nagthane, Mayur Nikhar, Gaurav Yaole, Soumyajeet Thakur, Paresh Taiwade, Nikhil Malve and Swapnil Ashtankar were the members of the team who worked hard for this device.
