‘State Vendor Devpt programme’ initiates to provide necessary information

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Organisation, Ministry of MSME, Govt of India, Raipur, has conducted ‘State Vendor Development Programme’ with the cooperation of Bhilai Steel Plant at HRDC Training Hall of BSP.

The main motive for organising this event was to provide the necessary information regarding the products required by big public sector industries like BSP, NTPC, SECL etc, including their vendors’ registration.
ED (Material Management) Hriday Mohan presided over this occasion, specifically attended by GM (MM) duo P Chandra and Prakash Kulkarni along with the executives from NTPC, SECL and MSME –DI including R K Bele and Manish Bouddha from Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (DICCI)— the mentors of Chhattisgarh Chapter.

While presiding over the occasion, Hridaya Mohan discussed in detail the problems being faced while completing the target of the 4 % purchase under SC, ST, MSE Public Procurement Policy. He specifically exhorted the assembled industrialists to mention their categories in their tenders, for facilitating to achieve this earmarked target. He expressed hope that this programme would certainly facilitate the ancillary industries for expanding their sphere of marketing.

Rajeev S, Dy Director, MSME DI, Raipur, elaborated upon the different aspects of Public Procurement Policy and various projects, being undertaken by Ministry of MSME.
The mentor of Chhattisgarh Chapter, R N Bele, while appreciating the programme exhorted all public sector industries for publicising the list of their products along with procurement policy for facilitating the industrialists from Chhattisgarh.

The presentations given on this occasion by NTPC, Raipur and SECL, Bilaspur consisted the process of tendering and information regarding the products produced by different industries. Near-about 40 industrialists participated in this programme. Assistant Director, N K Sahu proposed the vote of thanks while concluding this highly significant event.
