Mata Gujri College holds event on health awareness

MATA Gujri Women’s College celebrated International Women’s Day by organising women health awareness programme. The programme was organied by Department of Zoology. Aim behind organising this awareness programme on Women’s Day was to provide information on health care and schemes executed by the Government to students. So that, students can avail its benefits. On the occasion, Dr Sanjay Mishra, Pathologist of Lady Elgin Hospital was present as keynote speaker. At the outset, the programme was inaugurated by lighting of traditional lamp and garlanded portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Thereafter, Dr Sanjay Mishra congratulated and exchanged greetings of all girls students and women staff on Women’s Day. He also threw light on various schemes being executed by State and Central Government towards women’s health. He informed that Central and State Government have launched various schemes like Jannai Suraksha Yojana, Institutional delivery, benefits during pregnancy, and other schemes. Students also asked various questions related to schemes and Dr Mishra solved their queries. Head of Zoology Department Dr Manjusha Pouranik proposed a vote of thanks. On the occasion, Dr Mahima Tripathi, Sangeeta Sarkhel, Aaysha Siddhique, Rajni Gupta and students of department were present.
