Miscreants open fire at youth over business rivalry at Raddi Chowk

Condition of victim is reported to be normal undergoing treatment at hospital


Sensation prevailed in Raddi Chowk when miscreants opened fire on a youth over a business rivalry in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.


The injured has been identified as Yogendra alias Sonu Rajput (27), resident of Alok Nagar. Gohalpur police informed that they received information about a firing incident at Raddi Chowk area. Taking prompt action on the information, a police team reached the spot and learnt that the injured was rushed at Metro Hospital. Police team reached the hospital where injured named Yogendra alias Sonu Rajput informed that he is engaged in mining business. Late night on Tuesday, he was on his way towards home on his moped. When he was passing through Raddi Chowk area, he held doubt that unidentified persons were chasing him and he turned inside a gully where he witnessed that his old rival Piyush Bedi along with his father riding on a motorcycle arrived and forcefully stopped him. Father of Piyush started abusing him over a dispute. Before he learnt their intentions, accused opened fire on him. Yogendra managed to save himself from two bullets but third bullet wounded his calf. The miscreants threatened him to life and managed to escape from the spot.


Learning about the incident, uncle of Yogendra reached the spot and rushed him at Metro Hospital where his condition is reported to be normal undergoing treatment at hospital. Acting on the complaint, Gohalpur police have registered a case under Sections 307, 341, 294 and 34 of the IPC and started a rigorous search for the accused.
