Two arrested with illegal firearms, live cartridges

Government Railway Police arrest man involved in theft in trains,
Nishatpura police nabbed two miscreants from Karond area involved in smuggling of illegal firearms and recovered six pistols, three magazines and six live cartridges from their possession on Tuesday, said DIG Raman Singh while speaking with mediapersons on Wednesday. The mastermind of the gang is still absconding.
Acting on a tip off, two miscreants who were trying to sell weapons were nabbed and when they were searched pistols, magazines and cartridges were recovered.
The nabbed accused was identified as Laxman Singh Parmar (23), son of Dasrath Singh of Morena, and Yogesh Sharma (18), son of Dharmendra of Bhind.
The accused have confessed selling the pistols in the city for the first time.
A single pistol would easily fetch Rs 20,000 to Rs 25000. The pistols were of good quality due to which it was easier selling the pistols.
Laxman is a contractual worker with Gwalior Municipal Corporation while Yogesh is a pursuing his bachelors degree from Gwalior.
During the investigation police found that the main accused who operates the nexus of illegal arm dealing from Gwalior and would pay people for delivering weapons illegally. The two youths were on their first trip to the city when they were nabbed. Further investigation would unearth the nexus of illegal trade of the arms in the city and nearby areas.
Meanwhile, GRP Bhopal nabbed a miscreant involved in thefts in trains and recovered valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh on Tuesday.
The nabbed accused identified as Danish alias Sarwar Mohammad of Dharmkata area in Bhopal. He confessed four thefts and valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh were recovered from his possession. The accused used to target the passengers with more luggage and would require help.
