Collector holds public meet in village Ujroad under Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan

In the ongoing Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abiyan on Thursday, Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary organised a public meeting in village Ujroad of Patan Development Block and appealed the villagers to work with unity for the development of village.


At village Ujroad a gram sabha was organised in the Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abiyan. Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary, Jila Panchayat Chief Executive officer, Harshika Singh participated in the Gram Sabha.


Collector Choudhary hold discussion with villagers on chalking out working plan for the development of village. He advised the farmers to keep the available resources in mind while drafting the development plan of village. So that proper execution of plans could be done.


Collector seek information regarding construction of toilets in village. He urged villagers to construct toilets in every house in order to make the village free from open defecation. He also directed the officials to conduct survey of village and bring information of houses where yet toilets were not constructed under MGNREGS.


He also appealed the villagers to keep their village clean. He also appealed farmers to change the crop cycle and to take the crops in summer season. To use solar pumps in place of electricity powered pumps. For installation of solar pumps around 90 per cent subsidy would be given to farmers by government. he also appealed farmers to plant fruit bearing variety of plants on farm boundaries.


Villagers have demanded to put strict ban on illegal trade of liquor. They complained of increasing alcoholism in the village due to illegal liquor trade in village. The youth are widely affected of alcohol addiction.


Collector asked the officials to immediately register a case against the person involved in illegal liquor trade and to ensure bound over the trade.


On this occasion Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary administered oath amongst villagers to construct toilets in their houses to make their village defecation free village, to leave the addiction.


Thereafter he also carried out inspection of Aarcha procurement centre and also taken account of progress of Prime Minister Housing Scheme and directed the officials to ensure extension of maximu benefits to beneficiaries. During the inspection of Archa Procurement Centre, Collector also inspected the quality of grains being procured in the ongoing procurement work.
He also directed to speed up the transportation and storage work of grains. He also interacted with farmers and appealed them to bring good quality grains to procurement centre and to get support price.
