Houses reduced to ashes as wild fire breaks out

Devastating fire in village Krisbans adjoining to Gandai in District Rajnandgaon reduced 10 houses to ashes and partially damaged 5 houses. The Hitavada Correspondent reported that bamboo trees caught fire due to friction and sparks generated were blown by strong wind to stacks of straw nearby. The fire was again diverted to houses by wind. Strong wind blew sparks to ward number 4 of Gandai Pandaria and damaged some houses.
Fire tenders from Nagar Panchayat Gandai and Municipal Council Khairagarh were engaged in dousing the fire. BJP Gandai Mandal President Anil Agrawal was the first one to reach the spot and helped for six hours to control the fire. He also arranged food and clothes for children. MLA Khairagarh Girwar Janghel also reached the spot. He distributed sarees, clothes and grains.
MP Rajnandgaon Abhishek Singh attending BJP meeting in Raigarh telephonically instructed Collector Rajnandgaon who arranged food for 100 persons. Each family will get 50 kilo rice and 30 each bamboos and poles.
