Power cos’ contractual employees continue strike on fourth day

Madhya Pradesh power companies’ contractual employees continued their strike for demands on the fourth day at Ambedkar Maidan near 2nd Number Bus Stop on Thursday. Ram Naranayan Dixit, the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Karmchari Federation regional secretary agitating with the employees died due to cardiac arrest. Though, he was taken to Government Jaiprakash Hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.

Contractual employees said that the officials demand bribe in the name of extending contractual period and if money is not given then they remove the employees because they are working for a limited period. The outsourcing employees and contractual employees said that the officials also torture them and ask them to do the work which is not under their duty task.

Madhya Pradesh Karmchari Adhikari Mahasangh state president Ramesh Rathore and United Forum organizer VKS Parihar held a meeting at Ambedkar Maidan at 12pm. Bijli Abhiyanta Sangh general secretary Anurag Nayak, JE Association president Satish Shrivastava, United Forum secretary Sunil Gurile, JK Vaishnav of Indore, Rajya Vidyut Takniki Karmchari Sangh representative Dinesh Dubey participated in the meeting and they all decided to support the contractual and outsourcing employees’ strike and will go on indefinite strike from next week. They all announced about extending their support in the demonstration.
