Rly Minister to attend different programmes on Apr 22 in Raipur

Union Railway Minister will also be attending the 62nd Annual National Railway Awards-2017 function at Shri Satya Sai Saubhagyam Auditorium
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, who will be here on a day-long visit on Saturday, will lay foundation stone for the third line in the Rajnandgaon-Nagpur section on Howrah-Mumbai Rail route in Nagpur Division under South East Central Railway (SECR). He will also inaugurate two (up/down) escalators and lift facilities for Platform 2/3 and 5/6 at Raipur Railway station. He will be inaugurating Narrow Guage maintenance facilities at Kendri, lift facilities in Platform 1, 2/3 and 4/5 in Durg Railway station, high-speed Wi-Fi facility in Durg railway station apart from high speed Wi-Fi facility in Bilaspur railway station and the newly built Foot-over-Bridge at Dongargarh Railway station. The Railway Minister will also flag-off Train No 22867/22868 Durg-Nizamuddin Humsafar Express (Bi-weekly) from Durg.
The main inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony will be held at Raipur Railway station from where the Union Railway Minister will be inaugurating the various
development works through video-conferencing link on April 22. The Union Railway Minister who has already reached Jabalpur today, have proceeded to Bandhavgarh via Umaria. He will be visiting Bandhavgarh National Park on Friday. From where he will be departing at 10pm and reach Umaria at 11pm. From Umaria, he will be departing at 11.15pm by a special train for Raipur and will be arriving here at 6am on April 22.
On reaching Raipur on Saturday, the Union Railway Minister will be meeting Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at his official residence between 10.45am to 11.15am. Thereafter, he will reach Raipur Railway station at 11.30am and carryout the inauguration and foundation laying ceremonies of various development works apart from flagging-off the Humsafar Express.
The inaugural function will be attended by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State for Railways and Union Minister of State for Communication (Independent Charge) Manoj Sinha are also likely to attend the function at Raipur. Other dignitaries to be present on the occasion are Industries Minister Amar Agrawal, MP Ramesh Bais, MP Dr Bhushanlal Jangde, MP Chaya Verma, MP Abhishek Singh, MLA Srichand Sundrani and Mayor Pramod Dubey in Raipur; MP Motilal Vora, MP Tamradhwaj Sahu, MLA Arun Vora and Durg Mayor Chandrika Chandrakar at Durg; MLA Dhanendra Sahu at Kendri station; Sarojini Banjare at Dongargarh station; MPLakhanlal Sahu and Mayor Kishore Rai in Bilaspur.
Later, the Union Railway Minister will be attending the 62nd Annual National Railway Awards, 2017, function to be held at Shri Satya Sai Saubhagyam Auditorium at Naya Raipur. Union Minister of State for Railways and Union Minister of State for Communication (Independent Charge) Manoj Sinha and Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain will be attending the function as Guests of Honour.
Altogether 131 Railway employees including 70 non-gazetted employees and 61 gazetted officers from all over the country will be receiving Awards under various categories for their exemplary performances.
Senior Division Personnel Officer Darshnita B Ahluwalia and Senior Division Operations Manager Ravish Kumar Singh from gazetted officer category along with Nivasram Yadav Track Maintenance Gr IV, Mukesh Kumar Assistant Loco Pilot and Sumitra Pal Sr Section Officer (A/cs) from non-gazetted category have been selected from South East Central Railways for the coveted Awards.
