Three youths arrested for betting on IPL matches

Crime Branch has arrested three youths on charges of betting on IPL cricket matches. Accused have been held from Subedar Colony of Teelajamalpura. Accused were working as booking agent for the main bookie who is on run after the arrest of trio. Efforts are being made to arrest him. As per information, Crime Branch got air that some youths are betting on IPL cricket matches from a house in Subedar Colony of Teelajamalpura. In the raid, three youths were arrested. They were identified as Manish Chugani, Shailendra Sharma and Mohammad Adil. As many as ten mobile phones, register having details of Rs 6 lakh, pen drive, laptop, television set and other equipment were seized.


In interrogation, accused told that they were working for bookie Azam Khan, who lives in Kilol Park area. Azam Khan pays salary of Rs 15,000 to each of them. On the basis of information given by held accused, police raided the house of Azam Khan but he was not there. Cops are on toes to arrest him.
