Chairing the Bharatiya Janata Party State Working Committee meeting, BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik said by constituting Commission for Backward Classes, the Central Government had taken a significant decision which will go a long way in brining prosperity for the said category.
He extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the constitution of Commission for Backward Classes.

Earlier, the State Working Committee meeting was inaugurated by lighting traditional lamp by BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Saudan Singh, State President Dharamlal Kaushik, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Union Minister of State Vishnudeo Sai, National General Secretary Saroj Pandey, State General Secretary (Organization) Pawan Sai.

Kaushik extended his best wishes to BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Saudan Singh and Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh for the historic win received by the party during the recently held panchayat elections in Odisha.

He said the party is all set for coming into power in the state for the fourth consecutive time and every party worker and office-bearer will have to contribute their part.

He said every party worker is working in this direction with highest commitment. He said in this scorching heat, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is conducting Lok Suraaj Abhiyan so that problems and demands of common people can be redressed. He said we are steadily progressing towards golden future of India and Bharatiya Janata Party. He however added that in order to achieve this success committed hard work is necessary.

Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda while giving presentation of works undertaken by his department, urged every member present on the occasion to encourage plantation of trees. He said Prime Minister has called upon the people for planting at least one tree each while the Chief Minister has called upon every citizen of the state to plant at least four trees. He said in order to protect the environment and make the mother Earth beautiful as many trees as possible should be planted. On the occasion he gave a detailed presentation of works and projection of his departmental works. He said the forest dwellers have been freed from the clutches of middle-men as forest produce are being purchased under minimum support price.

Cooperatives Minister Dayaldas Baghel while giving presentation of his department said paddy procurement under MSP is a huge challenge and due to demonetization it had became more severe. However, with the help of effective policy making and help from farmers, we have been able to strongly face this challenge. This year it has been tried to purchase paddy from the farmer on the same day itself which has resulted into zero shortage in maximum primary cooperative societies. Present on the occasion were National President of BJP ST Cell Ramvichar Netam, Girdhar Gupta, Dr Subhauram Kashyap, Santosh Pandey, Ministers Brijmohan Agrawal, Prem Prakash Pandey, Amar Agrawal, Kedar Kashyap, Ramsewak Paikra, Mahesh Gagda, MPs Ramesh Bais, Kamla Patle, Abhishek Singh, Bhushan Jangde, MLAs and state office-bearers. On the second day on Friday, BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Saudan Singh will be addressing the august gathering. At the valedictory session Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will be addressing the gathering.
