Shreekant Tankhiwale’s painting exhibition opens for public

SHREEKANT Tankhiwale, a well- known teacher for engineering and architecture subjects and architecture entrance exams like JEE (Architecture) and NATA has inaugurated its annual exhibition ‘Impressions’ by the hands of Dhanashree Borikar and Manjushah Hingane on Sunday.

Shreekant Tankhiwale and his wife Sujata Tankhiwale were prominently present on the occasion. The theme of the painting exhibition was Lost and Found Series.

The exhibition is underway at Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery, Lokmat Bhawan, Ramdaspeth. The timings are from 4 pm to 9 pm. The painting and sketching exhibition will conclude on April 25. The exhibition displays more than 100 sketches and paintings by Tankhiwale and his students.

“The students were given a free hand and encouraged to sketch and paint from what they learnt in the earlier classes. The exhibition is organised to inculcate the habit of sketching, painting and identify colours required in architecture. Students also get noticed through the painting they create by senior architects who visit the exhibition,” Tankhiwale said.
He is an ex-faculty of RKNEC and has a teaching experience of more than 32 years.

He has given coaching to the aspirants of architecture and hundreds of his students have taken admissions in various reputed national engineering and architecture institutes.
The admissions are open for Std XI and XII batches.
