City girl Shweta Sinha receives Colors Golden Petal Award

This is another feather in cap of Nagpurians as city daughter, TV actress Shweta Sinha received prestigious Colors Golden Petal Award for best role in comic fiction serials in popular TV shows.


Shweta Sinha is daughter of late Prakash Samarth and Smrutirekha Samarth.
Shweta did her studies in Mount Carmel Girls School Ajni and obtained degree in Mass Communication from Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU).


Shweta portrays the character of pari in the popular television show Sasural Simar Ka on Colors channel and she got this award from the hands of noted actor Ayub khan . She and Snehal Sahay, who plays the character of Uma were in tie with senior actress Sudha Chandran. Karan Johar and Manish Paul were the host.


Raj Nayak CEO of Colours personally congratulated Shweta. She gives the credit of achievement to her family specially her mother Smrutirekha Samarth who has been a pillar of strength and sister Dr Amruta who has always been a source of encouragement. Shweta conveys a thanks to her producer Rashmi Sharma who is also the producer of movie ‘Pink’ that recently got the National Award.
