Cabinet Minister inspects ongoing construction of 66 MLD Filter Plant

After the completion of the 66 MLD Filter Plant for Phase-2 water supply at 77 MLD Filter Plant, Nehru Nagar the water supply crisis prevailing at various wards in BMC will be solved

Cabinet Minister, Prem Prakash Pandey inspected the ongoing construction of 66 MLD Filter Plant at Nehru Nagar under AMRUT Mission Yojna on Monday morning.
He took stock of the work in progress from the BMC officials and the representatives of the construction agency and also gave them necessary instructions.


Minister, Prem Prakash Pandey was accompanied by BMC Commissioner, K L Chouhan, BMC Speaker, P Shyamsuder Rao, Zone President, Rakesh Arora, Corporator, Vashisth Narayan Mishra, Alderman, Shankar Lal Dewangan, Manoj Pandey and others. It needs to be mention that after the completion of the 66 MLD Filter Plant for Phase-2 water supply at 77 MLD Filter Plant, Nehru Nagar the water supply crisis prevailing at various wards in BMC will be solved.


Minister, Pandey instructed BMC Commissioner,K L Chouhan, Superintendent Engineer, Satyendra Singh and representative of the construction company that the work must get completed within the stipulated time so that water supply under Phase-2 can begin in the coming summer season and reach every house in various wards of BMC.


He said that along with the filter plant construction work the construction work of over head tanks and installation of pipeline work must go on simultaneously and must also get completed in time. He said that water supply from the filter plant must commence at any cost before the coming summer season.


Commissioner, K L Chouhan informed that before the construction of the tanks at the proposed sites the sample of mud has been sent for lab test and the construction work is delayed due to some judicial procedure, but will commence soon.
