Man arrested with truck loaded with cement bags worth lakhs

In the theft involving Rs 15 lakh, Crime Branch sleuths nabbed one and confiscated the stolen cement bags laden truck from his possession in Kumhari. The police solved the theft after few hours from its occurrence.

Police sources informed that the accused was identified Bhikham Baghel (24), a resident of Dhhaba village of Kumhari. The police said that according to Anil Singh, the transporter, during the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday his driver had parked his cement laden truck (CG07/C/4472) in front of his office and he found the vehicle missing from the spot where it was parked on the following morning.

After information the police cell team swung into action and on basis of a tip off succeeded in laying hands on the accused along with recovery of the stolen truck and cement full bags weighing 18 tons from his possession.

The police team was tipped-off about the cement bags laden truck laying abandoned near Geetu Hotel in Kumhari. The police cell team handed over the accused to the police station concerned for further legal action in the matter.

The police have registered the offence against the accused under section 379 of Indian Penal Code. The police are further investigating the matter.
